One of my first posts to one of my Xangas

Saturday, March 27, 2004
I had something in mind to write, but now that my fingers are tickling the ivories, so to speak, I am at a loss for words. Cannot recall what I wanted to impart to you, my reading audience. Oh well. Guess that is what comes of aging. Oh! that I could not grow up! But, alas, I am, as my sissy Dana says, a million kabillion years old. Or whatever she said. I am glad that she looks up to me and thinks that I am cool; however, I pray that she doesn't make the unwise choices that I have made. It is the same with my daughters. I am open with them; as much as their age will allow. Because, I want to try to prevent them from making my mistakes. I realize that children have minds of their own and will do as they will. I can only pray that they will always feel that they can come to me with whatever is on their minds.

And, this still holds true today. I want for my sister Dana and my four daughters to be able to come to me to talk about anything they have on their minds. I also want them to learn from my mistakes, so that they won't make them themselves-learn from my experiences and go on to bigger, better things.
